President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, on the eve of the fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum, met with a delegation of leading companies from the United States.
As reported by the press service of the Uzbek head of state, the talks were attended by President and Chairman of the US Export-Import Bank John Yovanovich, Chief Executive Officer of the International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) Ben Black, Chair of the American-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce Carolyn Lamm, and executives from Air Products, Cove Capital, Templeton Global Investments, Boeing, 77 Construction, BlackRock, FLS, Visa, JP Morgan, Meta, GULF, and several others.
Mirziyoyev said the meeting continued an established tradition and reflected the growing interest of American business in expanding its presence in Uzbekistan. He stressed that the economic agenda remains one of the key pillars of the strategic partnership between Tashkent and Washington, and he outlined priority areas for further deepening trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
The talks focused in particular on advancing specific projects for the development and processing of critical materials, along with cooperation in energy, metallurgy, finance, artificial intelligence, and digital technologies. The American executives thanked the Uzbek president for the conditions created for investors and presented their proposals and plans. Following the roundtable, a ceremony was held to exchange bilateral documents with leading US companies.
