Students of the Tashkent Islamic Institute named after Imam al-Bukhari will undertake internships at the Center for Islamic Civilization. This was reported by the Center’s press service.

A memorandum of cooperation was signed during a regular meeting of the expanded academic council. The document was signed by Rector Uygun Gafurov and Director of the Center for Islamic Civilization Firdavs Abdukhaliqov.

“The Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan is one of the country’s large-scale projects, and participation in its work is a significant event for every Uzbek citizen, including specialists in Islamic studies. The signed memorandum is not a mere formality, but a document with a concrete plan of practical actions. In the near future, the institute’s master’s students will begin their internships at the Center,” Gafurov stated.

In addition, the rector noted that more than 130 scholarly publications authored by the institute’s faculty members will be donated to the Center’s library.
