Sila Sveta has received an international award from the technology company Barco for its multimedia exhibition “New Uzbekistan — the Foundation of a New Renaissance” at the Center for Islamic Civilization in Tashkent, the Center’s press service reported.
The project was recognized as one of the most technologically and artistically refined examples of integrating contemporary visual solutions into a cultural space. The exhibition combines 3D mapping, an immersive show, and digital scenography.
The project used Barco laser projectors that provide high brightness, accurate color rendering, and image stability. As a result, the facade and interior spaces of the Center were transformed into a dynamic visual environment reflecting the region’s history and Uzbekistan’s contribution to world civilization.
The 25-minute production involved 47 lighting devices, about 100 creative and technical specialists, and 50 graphic designers.
The show places particular emphasis on the region’s intellectual heritage. Through projections, the exhibition features figures such as Ibn Sina, al-Khwarizmi, Imam al-Bukhari, Amir Temur, and Mirzo Ulugbek.
The mapping show is currently being demonstrated in test mode on the Khorezm portal of the Center’s building.
ℹ️ The Center for Islamic Civilization was built in Uzbekistan’s capital near the Hast-Imam complex. The building is designed in the style of medieval architectural monuments, with four portals each 34 meters high and a central dome rising 65 meters. It includes a Quran hall, a 460-seat conference hall, and a museum whose exhibitions cover the full history of Uzbekistan, from pre-Islamic times to the present. The Center is intended as a platform for studying the heritage of past generations and its contemporary interpretation in cooperation with the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan and with research and educational centers worldwide.
