President of the United States Donald Trump announced that he has secured an unprecedented trade and economic deal with Uzbekistan under which the Central Asian republic will invest more than $100 billion in the American economy. Reuters reported the statement, citing the U.S. president’s social media posts.

According to Trump, Uzbekistan will allocate $35 billion over the next three years for purchases of U.S. goods and investments in the United States, and more than $100 billion over the following ten years. These funds will support projects in critical sectors of the U.S. economy, including the extraction of critical minerals, aviation, the automobile industry, infrastructure, agriculture, energy, chemical production, and information technology.

The American leader thanked President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan for the partnership, saying he hopes for a long and productive relationship between the two nations.

For now, Uzbek government officials have not commented on Trump’s statement regarding the scale of the planned investments in the U.S. economy.

Trump, who chaired the Central Asia–United States (“C5+1”) Summit held in Washington, praised expanding ties with the region. According to him, the current White House administration is correcting the mistakes of previous presidents who ignored the enormous potential of Central Asia — a strategically important and resource-rich region.

In his remarks, Trump highlighted strengthening economic cooperation and security partnerships. He added that in recent months a significant volume of U.S. military equipment deliveries and other trade agreements have been concluded with Central Asian republics.

According to the press service of the President of Uzbekistan, a bilateral meeting between Mirziyoyev and Trump took place ahead of the summit. The two leaders discussed a wide range of cooperation issues, and the Uzbek president congratulated his American counterpart on major achievements in domestic and foreign policy. Mirziyoyev also underscored Trump’s role in helping resolve acute international and regional conflicts.

The leaders stressed the importance of creating and improving institutional mechanisms for advancing joint projects.

The second C5+1 Summit took place on November 6 in Washington under the chairmanship of U.S. President Donald Trump, with the participation of the presidents of Kazakhstan — Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kyrgyzstan — Sadyr Japarov, Tajikistan — Emomali Rahmon, Turkmenistan — Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and Uzbekistan — Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
