President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Chimgan resort area in the Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region, where he reviewed the progress of construction on a cable car, hotels, apartment complexes, chalets, and other tourist facilities, the presidential press service reported.

The all-season Chimgan resort is being developed in partnership with the French company MND. Local authorities have allocated 1,278 hectares for the project. The cable car will lift tourists to an altitude of up to 3,300 meters above sea level. The complex is expected to attract visitors year-round: skiing and snowboarding in winter, and mountaineering, hiking, and leisure activities in other seasons.

The president toured hotels, restaurants, and shopping centers. Among them is a six-story hotel designed to host 320 guests on average and serve up to 45,000 visitors annually. The facility will be managed by the Wyndham brand, ensuring high service standards and strengthening Uzbekistan’s image in the global tourism market.

Chimgan already features 5- and 7-story apartment hotels and a two-story restaurant, creating over 100 jobs. These facilities are capable of welcoming more than 54,000 tourists annually. Six chalets are also under construction.

Infrastructure is receiving particular attention. For example, a parking facility with 300 spaces has been built on the resort grounds, with a restaurant, playground, and retail outlets on the first floor, providing guests with a wide range of services in one place.

In addition, a road tunnel has been constructed in Bostanlyk district, including a 1,450-meter stretch, two bridges, and pedestrian paths. With a capacity of over 500 vehicles per hour, it reduces travel time to mountain resorts, improves safety, and eases traffic flow.

The district has already seen the launch of major facilities at the Amirsoy, Chinarkent, and Charvak Gates recreation areas, along with hotels and food service businesses. Bostanlyk is increasingly becoming a prominent tourism hub, where natural beauty blends with modern facilities and high service standards.

Beyond tourism, Mirziyoyev also visited an agro-industrial orchard in the Chimyön mahalla. Covering 3,000 hectares, the project focuses on cultivating raspberries, black currants, strawberries, and hazelnuts, with an investment of $60 million.

Enterprise managers told the president they plan to produce around 24,000 tons of crops annually, much of which will be exported. The orchards are expected to create over 12,000 jobs.

The president endorsed the project and instructed officials to explore opportunities in other foothill and pasture areas for establishing similar farms.
