On May 4, Air Samarkand operated its inaugural direct international flight on the new route from Samarkand to Tel Aviv.

To mark the occasion, special ceremonies were held at the international airports of Samarkand and Tel Aviv, where passengers were treated to refreshments and commemorative gifts.

“The launch of the Tel Aviv route is a significant milestone for our airline. We are seeing steady interest from tourists, pilgrims, and business travelers in both countries. I’m confident this route will be in demand and will serve as a strong link in air travel between Uzbekistan and Israel,” said Air Samarkand CEO Zafar Butayev.

Flights will initially operate on Sundays, with a second weekly flight on Thursdays to be added in July. The journey takes approximately five and a half hours. Depending on demand, flights will be operated using either the Airbus A330 (313 seats) or the Airbus A321 (194 seats). Air Samarkand’s official representative in Israel is Asia Travel Israel.

Air Samarkand is an Uzbek airline based at Samarkand International Airport. Founded in April 2022, its fleet includes Airbus A330, A321, and A321neo aircraft. The airline’s main goal is to provide residents of Samarkand and surrounding regions with direct access to popular destinations, while allowing international visitors to reach Samarkand without layovers.
